Mourinho looks to bring Drogba to Real Madrid

Didier Drogba could be on his way to a sensational reunion with Jose Mourinho as Real Madrid look to bring him to the Bernabeu next season.

The Daily Mail has reported that Mourinho is keen to bring Drogba to Real. Drogba is reportedly stalling on his big-money move to China after being put off by the infighting within Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua.

Nicolas Anelka, player and caretaker manager, and the Chinese club's management are at loggerheads after the Frenchman suggested his unhappiness at the possible appointment Sergio Batista as the new coach.

Drogba was reportedly on the verge of signing with Shanghai, but the current situation has led to him reassessing his options.

Mourinho was interested in signing him from Chelsea last summer, but was put off by the London club's asking price. However, with Drogba currently a free agent, the Ivorian could yet choose to move to Madrid and play under the boss that made him into a world-class footballer. It is understood talks have taken place between both the representatives on a two-year contract.

Drogba knows he will not get much playing time at Madrid, but is reportedly interested as he wants to play another part in taking a club to the Champions League title.

Meanwhile, according to the Daily Mirror, Salomon Kalou is close to moving to German club Schalke. Kalou was released by Chelsea after the Champions League final and he will snub any move to another Premier League club to sign for the Schalke.
