NBA Trade Rumors: Steve Nash Lakers and Raptors Deal Possible As Celtics Like Kendall Marshall, Omer Asik, Danny Granger and Eric Bledsoe On Trading Block?

The NBA season is off to a quick start and as the calendar moves closer to December, even though it's early, trade rumors will continue to bounce around and some names that will get mentioned this season includes Steve Nash, Omer Asik, Gerald Wallace, Kendall Marshall as well as Eric Bledsoe and Danny Granger.

The rumors have come up already for a number of players, including a possible deal for Steve Nash to the Toronto Raptors and while that sounds a bit crazy, the way Nash has been unable to get on the court for the Lakers the past two years could be behind it. The Raptors are willing trade partners right now as they rebuild and Nash would be a draw in his home land of Canada and he has expressed interest in possibly playing there previously in his career already. The Raptors are rebuilding and there could be some pieces that the Lakers like in return and the rumors were first reported from HoopsWorld and while it's still early, Nash's back injury could force a trade at some point down the line.

Rudy Gay likely will get dealt once again after the Raptors picked him up and the biggest sticking point for a Nash deal would be the fact that he is owed nearly $10 million, so that could make things dicey. The Raptors cone tried to get Nash before he signed with the Lakers and since he is dealing with a back injury they may wait and see how things play out. Gerald Wallace is another play that could get moved and the main reason is his contract, BUT, that could be the reason why the Celtics are unable to move him, as he has a $30 million deal attached to him. The 39-year-old Nash would be a nice option, but likely that deal is too much to figure out for both sides and won't get done.

The Lakers are looking at a season without Kobe Bryant on the floor for most of it and that could be a big issue and making deals may come at a later date when the team seed if he can get back on the court, Nash included.

According to CBS Sports, the Celtics are interested in Kendall Marshall after he was dealt to the Wizards, as the Celtics see him as a very solid option point guard that could play well in their system. The tough part is the money since the Celtics would be over the luxury tax and that could get Wallace involved. The Celtics are hoping to avoid going over and that could be what hangs up any chance at getting the Marshall deal done. Marshall was originally traded with Marcin Gortat from the Suns and another player on the team that could move is Eric Bledsoe, even after he was acquired from the Clippers.

Omer Asik and Danny Granger are two players that likely will end up on the trading block as well, with Asik being a bit redundant for the Rockets and Granger still not quite back to himself on the Pacers. Both players will be mentioned heading into the deadline no doubt.
