The Los Angeles Lakers have had a solid start to the season after winning four of nine games and the team will hit the road after a home win against the Pelicans to play the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center and the game will start up at 9 PM and streaming live on NBA.com from the league website.
The Lakers have started 4-5 this season and the Nuggets are two games under .500 and now the western conference rivals will meet up on Wednesday night without most of the star power, as Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant will not be on the court and Pau Gasol will be the center of attention as the team tries to snag a road victory at one of the toughest places to play over the past two seasons in the NBA. Last year the Nuggets lost only a few games at home and they were upset in the playoffs by the surprising Golden State Warriors and after losing in the postseason, they blew up the team and now they have a new coach and general manager and Andre Iguodala is now with Golden State, making this season one of transition for the franchise. The Lakers are coming off of a win against the New Orleans Pelicans at home and after playing against the Nuggets, the team will play at home against the Memphis Grizzlies and Jordan Hill has been playing very well for the team recently, coming off of a 21 point, 11 rebound performance and the Lakers will look to get back to .500 on the season.

The Lakers are averaging just under 100 points per game this season and are ranked 16th in the league and the defense is ranked 27th in the NBA with 105 points allowed per contest. The team is in the top 10 in assists and rebounds per game and after playing against the Grizzlies, the team has three more home games against the Pistons and the Warriors before playing the Sacramento Kings and them the team has a road trip with the Washington Wizards, Brooklyn Nets and Detroit Pistons away from Staples.
The Nuggets have been up and down to start the season and they are coming into the game after a win against the Utah Jazz by nearly 20 points and after playing the Lakers the team has the Timberwolves on the docket and that could be a solid matchup. The team is scoring less than last season at 98 points per game and they have been excellent on the boards, averaging over 40 per game for fifth in the league and as that is going on, the team is possibly in discussions with the Knicks to send Kenneth Faried there for Iman Shumpert and that could have some ramifications for both sides if it goes down. The Lakers are playing on the road at the Pepsi Center on Wednesday night against the Denver Nuggets starting up at 9:00 pm.
