Miami Dolphins Rumors: Bryant McKinnie Says Richie Incognito and Jonathan Martin Bullying Story Exaggerated

Nov 14, 2013 10:58 AM EST

The Miami Dolphins are going through a tough time right now with the Richie Incognito and Jonathan Martin story and one player feels things have been exaggerated in Bryant McKinnie, who said that the story has gotten bigger than it needed to be.

McKinnie spoke to reporters and ESPN.com wrote that he said the issues on both sides have been exaggerated and that "one side" of the story came out and now more facts are coming out. First off, McKinnie, you just got traded here three weeks ago so you are no expert and it's pretty pathetic to think you know everything from being there for a short period of time. McKinnie has taken the same route as many others, avoiding the racial issues and deeper issues to describe things as being part of the "NFL locker room" and the "culture" and while everyone seems to be ready to give Incognito the benefit of the doubt until the "facts" come out, what if they end up being worse than expected for Martin? No one has been saying that, which is pretty terrible and easily could happen.

McKinnie said that Martin should have taken things "upstairs" if he had an issue, so oh, he was supposed to go see Jeff Ireland about it? The man who told his agent that he should "punch" Incognito in the mouth so that he could get suspended instead? I'm sorry, but McKinnie, you are an idiot for saying that. People are trying to act like what happened to Martin was not a big deal and that might be how others see it, but if Martin felt unsafe or disrespected, what right does McKinnie or anyone else have to say that he wasn't?

The report from the NFL will be made public and it will be interesting to see how players like McKinnie react when all the facts come out. Also, this quote is terrible because Mr. McKinnie, what Martin did WAS professional because his team left him behind to get harassed and NO ONE cared.

"If he had some emotional issues, he should've took that up with somebody upstairs and maybe we wouldn't have this situation right now," McKinnie said. "It could have been a more professional way to handle it instead of walking out on your team, because that's what you did at the end of the day."
