The 2013 MLB Most Valuable Player Award announcement can be watched on television today. Six players will have a chance to take home the award as this year's MVP's will be declared later in the evening. Where and when can you watch the announcement on your TV's?
Time: 6 p.m. ET
TV Channel- Where to Watch: MLB Network
MLB Network is not available to everybody, so you might want to do a few things in order to stay up to date with the announcement. First, check if you have MLB Network, click here for more info on that. On the right-hand corner you will type in your zip code and channel information will be provided.
So you do not have MLB Network? How can you stay on top of things then?
If you have a cell phone and a Twitter account, you can always forward tweets to your phone. This might sound very much like a commercial, but, text message rates apply. You can follow MLB or any of the main baseball writers like Ken Rosenthal, Jon Heyman or Jon Morosi. They will surely stay informed of what goes on, especially since writers vote for the winners. You can also follow @MLBNetwork as they will surely immediately follow the MVP award winner with an announcement on their page.
Okay, so Twitter is not your thing? So once again, your phone can save the day. Create a free account with ESPN and receive mobile updates. Options such as following your favorite teams' scores are available, but you can also receive general sports information, like an announcement of an MVP winner.
Though the MLB Network will be the safest way to go, thanks to social media, news travels at a ridiculous pace. There really is no need to have a television in this age, everything can be found on television and if it were legal, we would publish a free live stream of MLB Network on this site, but that would get us in trouble.
Do not miss the 2013 N.L. and A.L. MVP's as the announcement will come later on in the day.
