The fantasy football schedule has started up for Week 11 after the Colts came back to defeat the Titans on Thursday and heading into the weekend, some players to watch to start or sit for matchups includes Frank Gore, Andre Ellington, Brian Leonard, Darren McFadden and Tony Gonzalez.
The San Francisco 49ers are playing a tough game on Sunday with the New Orleans Saints on the schedule and Frank Gore comes in a bit banged up after dealing with an ankle injury, but he should be good to go on Sunday. Gore was fine to practice on Thursday heading into the weekend and he comes in as one of the most productive fantasy backs this season, as he has 700 yards already and has also scored seven touchdowns. Gore has been one of the most consistent players in fantasy this season and with the Saints giving up some chunks of yards over the past two weeks, he could be in line for another solid game and if Vernon Davis returns and plays well, that should open up the rushing attack also.
Gore has had at least 70 yards in each of the past seven games and that makes him very valuable and with the Saints giving up rushing touchdowns in each of the past four games, he has the chance to get into the redzone as well. This year Gore ranks sixth in the league in rushing yards and eighth in yards per game with nearly 80 per contest and he also is third with seven scores as a back. This season he has been remarkably consistent and he comes in after scoring four touchdowns in the past three games and five over the past five.
Gore has been getting more involved in the passing game, snagging five of his 10 catches over the past three weeks and he also rushed for 101 yards a few weeks ago against the Arizona Cardinals for his only 100-plus game in five weeks. The team will be giving Gore the ball plenty on Sunday as they try to rebound from a loss against the Carolina Panthers and on Sunday he had 82 yards in the defeat along with 16 carries to average over five yards per carry.
Andre Ellington is moving up as a potential starting back every week for the Cardinals, as he has been in double digit carries in each of the past two games, including going over 150 yards two weeks ago against the Falcons. The team has won each of the past two games and three of five and over that span Ellington has scored twice and has been very solid, averaging 5.0 yards per carry or more in four of those games. Ellington was drafted to be an explosive option for the Cardinals and he has been very solid and now the team plays against the Jaguars and that should be a nice matchup, as he is coming off of two games where he has rushed for a combined 200 yards, including 55 last week in the win over the Texans and he also has been solid with 17 catches in the past five games, giving him 24 on the year for over 200 yards.
