The fantasy football week is getting started and that means fantasy owners will be looking for the best defenses to start on Sunday and Monday and some of the top teams includes the Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals, Cincinnati Bengals, New England Patriots and Chicago Bears.
The Patriots are playing the Panthers on Monday night football and while that should be a tough matchup, the team has the chance to force some turnovers and it could be a slugfest. The Panthers are on a streak and it's bound to break and while the Patriots are giving up too many rushing yards, they have done a good job in fantasy and could be a solid option this week. The team has the 12th ranked passing defense in the league and with the Broncos coming next week, they will be ready to ball on Monday night.
The Arizona Cardinals are the top ranked defense this weekend and the main reason is due to their opponent, as they are playing the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. The team is ranked third in rushing yards allowed per game and 20th in passing yards and they have a very solid defense and the team will be looking to end any hope for the Jags getting two wins in a row. The team is right there in the playoff race and they will need a good game on Sunday to keep that up. The Cardinals have one of the best corners in Patrick Peterson and he should be on fire on Sunday.
The Seattle Seahawks are one of the most consistent teams in the league and they have won five straight games and now they face the Vikings. The team is terrible this season and the Seahawks play at home so much better than on the road and this should be a tough test. The team is ranked second in passing yards allowed per game and 15th in rushing and they have a nice matchup with Minnesota.
