Arsenal are keen to strengthen their forward lines this season and who better to add the magical touch than Alessandro Del Piero.
Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has been a long-time admirer if Del Piero's talents and even tried to bring the Italian forward to North London, when Juventus got relegated after the match-fixing scandal.
Del Piero, however, chose to stay loyal to the Old Lady of Turin and helped them get back to the Serie A, culminating in their title victory this season.
The 37-year old has stated he will not play for another Italian club while admitting his admiration for the English Premier League.
While Wenger is not one to generally buy veterans, he has done it before with the perfect example being the signing of Davor Suker in 1999.
Arsenal lacked a definitive playmaker last season and Del Piero could fill that hole perfectly as the Gunners look to grab their first title in over seven years.
Other strikers being linked with Arsenal include Loic Remy, Seydou Doumbia and Olivier Giroud.
Wenger is a huge fan of bringing in French players and both Remy and Giroud fit the bill. Remy is also being followed by North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
However, with Arsenal playing Champions League soccer next season, Remy will definitely prefer a move to the Gunners. Doumbia is being reported in the Daily Mail as another target.
The CSKA Moscow striker had an impressive season in Russia, scoring 38 goals. CSKA value Doumbia at around $35-40 million, but it is understood that sum can be brought down through negotiations and if Arsenal are willing to send a few players the other way.
Barcelona generally buy players from Arsenal, however winger Issac Cuenca is being linked with a move to the Premier League according to several reports from Spain.
Cuenca had a reasonable campaign with the Catalan side and Wenger is known to be a keen admirer of the midfielder's talents. Ibrahim Afellay has also been linked with Arsenal, but it is understood the Dutch playmaker will stay on with Barcelona for another season.
Yevhen Konoplyanka, know as the 'little Messi' in Ukraine is also on Arsenal's radar.
Meanwhile, Johan Djourou has admitted he might leave the club. Switzerland manager Otmar Hitzfeld had asked the defender to leave Arsenal if he wants to be in the National team and Djourou admitted he might consider leaving if a good offer was on the table.
