The college football season is getting into the back stretch and the Baylor Bears have a shot to make it into the national championship game, but to do that they will need to beat the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Saturday night in a game that will be on ABC at 8:00 pm and that is why the ESPN College GameDay crew will be in Stillwater in Oklahoma for the matchup starting at 9 AM.
Baylor has been one of the most explosive teams in the nation this season and are coming off of a victory against Texas Tech that saw them score over 60 points and now they will face their toughest test since playing number 10 Oklahoma and the team happens to reside in the same state of course with the Cowboys. The Bears hit the road for this matchup and it comes at a huge time for the team, as they are ranked number four in the nation and have an outside chance at making it into the BCS championship game or another highly coveted bowl game if they can stay undefeated. The best hope for the team is that either Alabama or Florida State lose, but there is also Ohio State to consider and the Bears still have to take care of business in their own conference in the Big 12.

The game could basically be the championship game in the Big 12 since the conference doesn't have one -- or it could even be called a play-in game, as Baylor plays Texas at the end of the season and they are in the mix as well, but since Oklahoma State defeated the Longhorns, they would have the advantage, so yeah -- and now the Bears will have the chance to get to 10-0 and 7-0 in the conference. Bryce Petty deserves some Heisman consideration this season with nearly 3,000 yards passing and 24 touchdowns with just one interception and the offense is just ridiculous this season and it would be great to see the Bears take on someone like Alabama or Ohio State.
The Baylor offense has been insane this season and they have scored over 70 points in four games this season, including three in a row at one point and they have only scored less than 40 one time this season and now they face the toughest stretch on the schedule and it comes at the time when the pressure is at its greatest. The team is ranked first in the nation in scoring and the defense has been doing its job as well, averaging just 17 points allowed per game compared to 61 points on offense. Petty has 2,992 yards this season and Lache Seastrunk has done a great job rushing the ball, as the team is averaging over 300 yards per game and he has 888 yards and 11 scores this season. Baylor is the lone undefeated team in the conference ahead of the Cowboys and Longhorns at 6-1 with Oklahoma and Kansas State behind. The game starts up at 8 pm on ABC and GameDay is on at 9 am on ESPN.
