Monday Night Football Schedule: TV Channel and Start Time For MNF Washington Redskins and San Francisco 49ers ESPN Game

Nov 25, 2013 12:27 PM EST

The Monday night football game for Week 12 on the schedule is a good matchup with the Washington Redskins hosting the San Francisco 49ers at home at FedEx Field and the game will be on ESPN and streaming on WatchESPN starting up at 8:30 PM and is a big NFC matchup.

The 49ers come in after a tough loss to the New Orleans Saints and with the Seattle Seahawks off for a bye, they will be looking to gain a game, while the Washington Redskins can start pulling themselves out of the bottom of the NFC East with a victory, which would snap a two game winning streak. Neither of these two teams has been playing consistently all season and now the Redskins come in desperate for a win at 3-7 to try and salvage their season after winning the division and making the playoffs last year. Robert Griffin and Colin Kaepernick have been good and not great this season and Griffin has not been running nearly as much as he did last season, while the Niners passing game remains one of the worst in the league.

The Redskins opened the season with four losses in five games and they haven't been able to put any streaks together apart from losing ones and now they will try to stop their second three game losing streak of the season. The team ranks first in the league in rushing yards per game with Griffin and Alfred Morris, but the defense has not been good, giving up over 270 yards in the air per game and over 110 on the ground and they are ranked in the bottom half of the league in both categories and now they have three straight homes games coming with the 49ers first on Monday night and that will be crucial for the team to win, as the knives have come out a bit in the media for Griffin and Mike Shanahan, who have never had the best relationship anyway.

Griffin comes into the game with over 2,700 passing yards and 14 touchdowns and he has rushed for 345 yards this season, while Morris has been productive again with 918 yards after going for 1,600 last season, Pierre Garcon and Jordan Reed have been the two best receivers on the team and Garcon is tops with 67 catches for 871 yards and three scores. The Redskins come in after losses to the Vikings and Eagles and it easily could be a four game losing streak, as they defeated the Chargers in overtime after losing in bad fashion to the Denver Broncos. The Redskins have the Niners at home before hosting the New York Giants and then the team has the tough Kansas City Chiefs coming after that.

The schedule finishes with two of three on the road, including the Atlanta Falcons before playing the Dallas Cowboys at home and then Week 17 has the Giants in New York. The 49ers have had two two-game losing streaks this season and they are looking at loss number three on Monday if they don't get things together after scoring just 29 points over the past two weeks. The team won in London, but hasn't had a victory since then after playing two tough teams in the Panthers and Saints and now they will try and turn it around. The team has three divisional games over the final five weeks, including against the Rams and Cardinals and they also are playing the Seattle Seahawks at home. The team also has another Monday night football game with the Atlanta Falcons after playing against the Buccaneers.
