Ruth, Gehrig, Mantle, Jeter, Ronaldo?

Forget baseball, this summer fans of the most popular sport on Earth will get to see some of the world's best teams at The House The Boss Built. Continuing to expand its foray into hosting other sporting events, Yankee Stadium will be home to two soccer matches this summer.

On July 22, Champions League winner Chelsea will play French club Paris Saint-Germain. The match will be a reunion for PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti, who managed Chelsea for two seasons beginning in 2009. In his first season, Chelsea won both the English Premier League as well as the FA Cup. The following year, Chelsea finished second in the EPL and Ancelotti was fired immediately after the season.

The match is the second stop on Chelsea's preseason U.S. tour. They will open aginst the Seattle Sounders of the MLS on July 18, then take on the MLS All-Stars in Chester, Pa. on July 25 before finishing with a match against AC Milan on July 28 in Miami.

Just over two weeks later, on Aug. 8, Yankee Stadium will be host to a game between La Liga champions Real Madrid and AC Milan. The Spanish club will return to the States for the third consecutive summer to play four matches. They play in Los Angeles against the Galaxy on Aug. 2 before facing Italian league champion Juventus three days later in Las Vegas. They'll play Scottish champion Glasgow Celtic in Philadelphia on Aug. 5 before coming to New York.

AC Milan will play Chelsea in Miami in addition to a match in Pittsburgh on Aug. 4 against an unannounced opponent.

These will mark the first two soccer games played at the new Yankee Stadium, which opened in 2009. It has previously hosted boxing matches and college football games.
