The fantasy football week is now over after the San Francisco 49ers knocked out the Washington Redskins on Monday night and the top players were Colin Kaepernick, who passed for three touchdowns, as well as Anquan Boldin, who had 94 yards and two scores and heading into Week 13 some of the top free agents, pickups and sleepers are Benny Cunningham, Brandon Bolden, Marcel Reece and Tiquan Underwood.
The Rams had a big offensive game on Sunday against the Chicago Bears and one of the biggest reasons was running back Benny Cunningham, who is looking like one of the best pickups of the late season. Zac Stacy came in and took over the starting job after Daryl Richardson came in as the top back in 2013, but after Stacy went down with a head injury, Cunningham showed that the Rams have a nice stable of running backs and young talent with Tavon Austin on the outside. Brandon Bolden and Marcel Reece got their chances on Sunday as well and they could be solid pickups heading into the back stretch as well.
Stacy came in after Week 4 and took over as the starter and now they have another solid option with Cunningham, who took over after Stacy left and the Rams had over 160 yards rushing. Cunningham had just 27 carries coming into the game and he ended up with 13 carries for 109 yards and one touchdown in the matchup and that nearly bested his total for the entire season. The previous week he had seven carries for 72 yards and now he has over 230 yards on the season and could be a solid starter option if Stacy has to miss any time going down the stretch and now the Rams have put themselves at least within striking distance for a wild card spot and could continue moving up. Cunningham now looks like a better option over Richardson and Isaiah Pead and Stacy likely will take over the starting job once he comes back.
Reece is getting more looks and more touches after Darren McFadden went down with a hamstring injury and while he had just five carries for 14 yards, he was a factor in the passing game with four catches for 44 yards and a touchdown and he now has over 100 yards in the past four weeks. Reece has 21 catches on the season for nearly 200 yards and he could be a solid option behind Rashad Jennings heading into the back stretch of the schedule.
Brandon Bolden stepped up after Stevan Ridley had some fumbling issues on Sunday night and he led the team in carries with 13 and ended up with 58 yards and a touchdown on 14 total touches and that was his most productive game in a handful of weeks and that means he could get some more carries going forward. Ridley and LeGarrette Blount have been ahead of Bolden on the depth chart and they likely will remain there, but Bolden could continue to have an impact.
Underwood had a great game on Sunday in the win over the Lions, making three catches for 108 yards and two touchdowns, including an 85 yard reception that was impressive. While he has just 13 catches on the season, he has had 11 targets over the past three weeks and could continue to be looked at as a solid option.
