Tim Tebow Rumors: SI Article The Book Of Tebow Has Quarterback Talking Aaron Hernandez, NFL Career, Patriots For Sports Illustrated

NFL free agent quarterback Tim Tebow has been out of the media spotlight lately and based on the new article on SI.com titled "The Book of Tebow" by Thomas Lake, the reason why is because this article was on its way out and the profile has plenty of details on the career and life of the former Florida star and Heisman winning quarterback, including about his relationship with Aaron Hernandez, his tenure with the Denver Broncos, NY Jets and Patriots, as well as his thoughts on religion and his future.

The article is split into a number of parts and looks at Tebow through a number of angles and a number of lenses, including his success in college with the Florida Gators, the surprise that he was a first round pick, who some Heisman winners do not have success in the NFL as well as his relationship with former head coach Urban Meyer, why he was at a bar with Aaron Hernandez during one of his past incidents as well as more on his time with the Patriots from this past summer. The story looks to get past the main media narrative on Tebow and tries to look at why he hasn't been a success in the NFL, yet remains one of the most influential athletes in the United States and around the world. Tebow obviously still has his strong religious beliefs and he also spoke with Lake about the issues surrounding an appearance he was set to make at a Texas church and the fallout from the decision not to do it.

Tebow gave a number of details about his life that many sports fans did not know about, including stories about playing with injuries in high school experiences he had as a child as well as when Cam Newton and Tim Tebow were at Florida together before Newton eventually transferred. The article describes the time the two spent in Gainesville and posits the question of whether Newton was actually the greater player at the time and if he got a fair shot at playing at Florida. The article shows that Newton may have been the player with the far better physical gifts (and the NFL has shown that to be true), but one without the inside edge, as Urban Meyer wanted a "warrior" like Tebow and not a player who felt the game was just that, a game, as Newton did.

The article gives a good look over of where Tebow has been and where he could be going and after spending time with the Patriots, there is a chance that will be his last stint in the NFL. Many feel that Tebow deserves a chance to play in this league while some feel that if he was good enough, he would be signed, but either way, Tebow sure is a popular figure in the sports world and in America.
