Johnny Manziel has one more shot. The Texas A&M Aggies are not in contention to go to the SEC Title game or the National Championship game so the Heisman Trophy is the cherry the quarterback is looking to place on top of his storied two-year season. The Aggies will certainly face a challenge on Saturday as the Missouri Tigers need one more win to head right to Atlanta as the SEC East champions.
Manziel is trying to regroup after a terrible game against the LSU Tigers. The quarterback put up one of the worst games in his career after he completed just 16 of 41 passes for just 224 yards and one touchdown. The worst part is he also had two interceptions and just 54 yards of rushing. Those numbers are not Heisman worthy, something Manziel will look to change against Missouri.
The Tigers are having an incredible season in their second year in the SEC. Sitting at 10-1, the team controls their own destiny on the way to Atlanta. The fifth-ranked Tigers go to Atlanta with a win. If they lose and South Carolina wins, the Gamecocks head to the Georgia Dome and the Tigers hang their heads in disappointment.
Missouri is making Manziel their focus considering they are facing a player that leads the SEC in passing yards per game and passing touchdowns per game. Not to mention he has eight rushing touchdowns on the season. Last season, Johnny Football put up 372 yards passing with three touchdowns while also rushing for another two scores in the 59-29 route.
Manziel is the reigning Heisman winner. The quarterback could likely be headed to the NFL in 2014 so finishing the season with one more trophy is the way he is looking to go out.
