The St. Louis Rams and the San Francisco 49ers play in the toughest division in the NFL and on Sunday the two teams will face off at Candlestick Park in California and the game will kick off at 4:05 PM on FOX and is streaming online and on the radio from the NFL.com league website and both teams will be hungry for a win.
Both sides come in after victories last week and the 49ers won over the Washington Redskins on Monday night football to stop a two game losing streak, while the St. Louis Rams are coming in after a dominating victory over the Chicago Bears that saw the team rush the ball at will. The Rams will try and run the ball again on Sunday, but it likely will be very tough against a defense that is ranked 12th in the league with just under 105 yards per game allowed and now they will face a solid rushing team. The Rams have Benny Cunningham stepping up along with Zac Stacy, but he was injured last week against Chicago and the 49ers come in playing better than the previous two games, as they kept the Redskins from scoring a touchdown and Colin Kaepernick had a great game as well, putting up 235 passing yards while Anquan Boldin led the game with nearly 100 yards.

The 49ers have tough game ahead and next week they play a crucial division game against the Seattle Seahawks and winning that game is the only chance the team has to get back into the division race and this time that game will be at home after the Hawks ripped the Niners back in Week 2 of the season in Washington. The 49ers have been streaky this season and the team comes in last in the league with 173 passing yards per game, but with Michael Crabtree returning and Mario Manningham getting better, the team should be able to open things up and they will also try to rush the ball with Frank Gore. The team is averaging over 130 yards per game this season on the ground and that will be a main focus for the team against the Rams and while their defense has played better in the past few weeks, winning on the road will be very tough for the team to do after winning at home against the Bears.
The 49ers are returning home after two away games against the New Orleans Saints and the Washington Redskins and that first game against the Saints ended in controversy and then the team dominated over TG3 and company and now they have a chance to get back on track. The 49ers started the season 1-2 before pulling off five straight wins and then the team lost to the Carolina Panthers and the Saints for back to back losses and now that the team has won over the Skins to get back on track, they are hoping to keep the streak alive in a division game and the Niners still have two ahead for the rest of the schedule.
After playing the Rams and the Seattle Seahawks next week, the Buccaneers are coming on the schedule and then the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night football and then the team plays on the road against the Arizona Cardinals and that game could have playoff implications for both, as the Cards are right there in the standings and the 49ers will need to finish strong to ensure themselves a playoff spot, as the Seahawks are best in the NFC right now and have a good chance at winning the west division.
