The Aaron Hernandez murder case has not yet set a date for a trial, but issues regarding his girlfriend and fiancé and her perjury charge have continued and now a Boston Globe report says that Jenkins lied 29 times about various topics in her testimony to the grand jury in the case.
Jenkins was charged with perjury and has pleaded not guilty to the charges and according to the Boston Globe, Jenkins lied about a number of topics, including about not remembering where she disposed a box as well as "issues related" to the people that cleaned her house after the murder occurred. Back over the summer, reports came out that Hernandez and Jenkins had a cleaning crew come to their house and clean it after the murder occurred and the article also says that Jenkins lied about how many guns she had seen in the home as well.
Hernandez is currently in jail awaiting trial for the murder of Odin Lloyd, who was a former semiprofessional football player that was dating Jenkins' sister. The report from the Boston Globe says that the prosecution said that Jenkins lies about multiple conversations that she had with Hernandez following the incident, including one in which he told her from his lawyer's office to remove certain items from the house.
That incident was documented in reports from the police and was one reason why Jenkins was initially looked into by the investigation was because she was seen on video surveillance taking a box out to her car and then returning home without it. The murder weapon still has not been found and now Jenkins could be facing more trouble.
