The NFL schedule is moving into Week 14 on Thursday and the New England Patriots have continued to try and improve their team, signing wideout Austin Collie back after releasing him in November and as the season moved towards the end, it is looking more and more likely that quarterback Tim Tebow will not be playing in 2013.
According to ESPN.com, Collie signed back with the team this week to help out with some wide receiver depth, as both Aaron Dobson and Kenbrell Thompkins are banged up heading into the game against the Cleveland Browns. Tebow hasn't had a sniff from anyone this season after being released by the Patriots after the preseason and now it is looking more likely that he will end up on TV somewhere in the future rather than in an NFL uniform, as there are only a few weeks left of the season and no one has looked at picking him up, not even the Jacksonville Jaguars. Collie comes back to the Patriots as a solid slot wide receiver option for Tom Brady and he brings along over 175 catches in his career along with 16 touchdowns for nearly 2,000 yards, the bulk of which was done with the Indianapolis Colts and now he will be back with the Patriots after he was previously released in Week 9.
The Patriots have gotten much better play from their receivers of late and with Danny Amendola coming back and Julian Edelman coming on, adding Collie is about making sure they have depth for the back stretch, as Thompkins is limited and Dobson has been out since the Week 12 Broncos game.
