The Houston Texans are now losers of 11-staraight games after falling to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night football in Week 14 and this comes just one year after the team made it into the playoffs as one of the top seeds and the losses have started to take their toll and that could mean a trade of wide receiver Andre Johnson this offseason.
The Texans lost 27-20 to the Jaguars on Thursday, giving the team the best current winning streak in the AFC and also the fourth win in five games for Jacksonville, who was tied for the worst record in the league last season with a 2-14 record. Johnson has been mentioned in trade rumors during the losing streak and during the deadline and now the Texans have decisions to make in the offseason. On Thursday Johnson showed why he is one of the best receivers in the NFL, as he is moving up the record books and setting milestones, as he now is the only receiver in the history of the league to have 20 or more games with at least 10 catches and 100 yards in his career and he did in another loss for the Texans.
The Patriots and the 49ers are two teams that could be interested in a deal for Johnson, but it's unclear whether the Texans will actually pull off a deal. The team is now 2-11 on the season and they are looking like they will be getting the number one overall pick and as all this is going on, the team likely will be done with matt Schaub after this season and they could go after someone like Teddy Bridgewater or Johnny Manziel come next year's draft.
Johnson is 32 years old and he still is a prime receiver in this league and the Texans now are getting closer to getting the number one overall pick. The team has three games left against the Colts, Denver Broncos and the Titans and if they lose those games they will get the number one overall pick. Johnson made 13 catches for 154 yards on Thursday and was targeted 21 times in the matchup.
