The Northern Illinois Huskies and the Bowling Green Falcons are matching up in the MAC Championship game on ESPN2 starting up at 8 pm and it is one of the first major college football games that will factor into the postseason and has Jordan Lynch and NIU looking to break into the BCS again this season.
Lynch has been amazing this season and he leads the team in passing and rushing yards and he has put himself right in the middle of the Heisman race with a combined 40 touchdowns and he has passed for 2,457 yards and he has added 22 touchdowns. Lynch also has rushed for 1,755 yards and 20 touchdowns and he could be a dark horse for the title if he has another game like he did last week when he broke his own record for rushing yards in a game and now the team is ranked fourth in the nation in rushing yards per contest with over 300 and the team is ranked ninth in points scored this season and they should be able to get a victory in the MAC championship on Friday night and the games usually are very exciting and high scoring.
The Huskies come into the game with an undefeated record and if they finish ahead of the automatic qualifiers this season they will get into the BCS once again after they did it last year against Florida State and this will be Lynch's last hurrah. The team is coming off of a win over Western Michigan and while the team doesn't have the strongest schedule, the team did play Iowa and Purdue and took those teams down and they also had some nice wins over Ball State and Toledo when the undefeated season was on the line.
