The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Michigan State Spartans are gearing up for the Big Ten Championship game on Saturday night and the game will be live on FOX and streaming online and has plenty on the line for OSU, as they are looking to get into the national championship game undefeated and beating MSU will clinch that and the matchup is live from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
The Buckeyes are trying to complete their second straight undefeated season and a win would likely clinch a spot in the BCS championship game against the Seminoles if Florida State takes care of business against Duke on Saturday night. The Buckeyes are one of the most productive offensive teams in the nation and while many have said some stuff about their schedule, but a win over a top 10 ranked team will do some quieting to that talk and it won't matter anyway if it's just Florida State and Ohio State undefeated at the end. The Spartans have a very tough defense and this could be the best team that the Buckeyes play all season apart from the national title game.
Ohio State comes into the matchup after a thrilling finish to the regular season against Michigan at the Big House in Ann Arbor and it was an insane game, as Ohio State took a nice lead and then Michigan refused to give up and eventually after some back and forth, the Buckeyes had the lead with just a minute left, leaving the Wolverines to drive down the field to try and tie things up. Quarterback Devin Gardner was banged up in the game, but he ended up with 451 passing yards and led the team down the field under pressure for the potential tying score and the team got it, but it wasn't over yet. Coach Brady Hoke decided to go for the win against OSU and the two point conversion was not successful and they escaped with a win. Jeremy Gallon was great in the game, but Carlos Hyde was even better and he will be the main focus on Saturday.
Michigan State has a tough defense and Hyde comes in after rushing for over 220 yards in the game against Michigan and the Buckeyes are gaining over 320 yards per game on the ground this season. The team ranked third in points and second in rushing and they are averaging over 45 per game and are allowing just 20 per contest this season, while MSU is ranked 11th in scoring defense. The game on Saturday is on TV on FOX from Lucas Oil Stadium and starts at 8:17 pm for Ohio State and Michigan State.
