The fantasy football week is getting started up with a big game in the AFC West, as the Denver Broncos are hosting the San Diego Chargers and that means fantasy owners need to know who to start and sit and some names to watch out for includes Knowshon Moreno, Wes Welker, Julius Thomas, Eric Decker and Montee Ball in the matchup.
Peyton Manning has been fantastic this season, making all of his receivers better and giving them chances for big games and on Thursday, he will be without Wes Welker after he suffered another concussion last week. Welker is a SIT for Thursday's matchup and while that is tough, the Broncos can get by with Eric Decker and Demaryius Thomas in the lineup. Welker has been great for manning this season and he has 73 catches for 778 yards this season and 10 touchdowns, the fourth player on the team to have that. Thomas is a player to watch out for as well after he was previously injured and Ball and Moreno could split carries on Thursday night.
Welker has been very productive in the Broncos offense this season and he is coming off a game with five catches and 10 targets and a touchdown, his first in the past four games and now he will be out fort Week 15. Jacob Tamme likely will be in the lineup more in the slot to help make up for the loss of Welker and that could help Manning keep the offense rolling like it has been all season.
Eric Decker is banged up too, but he is only probable and he is a START option on Thursday with Welker out and he could have another big game after putting up huge number the past two weeks. Decker has been great the past two games, getting 174 and 117 receiving yards on eight catches and 12 targets in both games and he has five touchdowns in that span after not having one in the past three games. Decker has great numbers this season with over 1,000 yards and 71 catches and he is looking to get 10 touchdowns as well to add to the list.
Demaryius Thomas will get more looks without Welker in the lineup and Moreno should be fine after dealing with a shoulder injury, as he is probable as well. Three weeks ago he had 224 yards and now he is coming off another nice game with 78 yards and a touchdown and he also added six catches for 31 yards against the Titans for over 100 total and even if he is banged up, he is a solid START option on Thursday.
Julius Thomas is also probable and he should be a START option and he has been great as well, catching four touchdowns in the past five games and he is coming off of a game with five catches for 35 yards against the Titans.
