Seattle Seahawks vs. New York Giants Radio Stream: Listen Online NFL Game Streaming Sunday At 1 PM

Dec 15, 2013 12:50 PM EST

The Seattle Seahawks are looking to get the number one seed in the playoffs and that could come closer to reality with a win against the New York Giants on Sunday and the team is playing at MetLife Stadium on FOX at 1 pm and the game is a chance for NY to play for some pride and the matchup has Russell Wilson and Eli Manning up against each other in an NFC game and the Seahawks need to get home field advantage in the postseason.

The Seahawks have been dealing with some secondary issues and here is a look back at those with Walter Thurmond and Brandon Browner. Seahawks are the top team in the NFC and on Monday night football the team will be playing against the New Orleans Saints in a matchup at CenturyLink Field that could determine home field advantage in the playoffs and the game is starting up at 8:30 pm and will be streaming live from the WatchESPN website and has Drew Brees taking on Russell Wilson in the best matchup on the Week 13 schedule in the NFL.

The Seahawks have been the best team in the NFC conference this season and the defense has been one of the main reasons for that, but when the team takes on the New Orleans Saints on Monday night football on ESPN they will be without Brandon Browner and Walter Thurmond in the secondary after the cornerback was suspended.

Check here for the Seahawks and Bears live coverage.

Browner is out with an injury and could miss up to a month and now, according to ESPN.com, Thurmond is facing a four game suspension for violating the substance abuse police from the league, meaning it's one of the non-PED substances used, reports Adam Schefter. The Seahawks have been playing great on defense even without Browner, but now they could be down both cornerbacks heading into a huge game against one of the best passing teams in the NFL. Thurman had a big play last week against the Vikings and scored a touchdown on a 29-yard interception return and without him in the lineup the team's depth will be tested at the position. Richard Sherman is regarded as one of the best cornerbacks in the league and he will need be on top of his game against Drew Brees and the Saints.

The Seahawks remain firmly in first place in the NFC West division and they have a game with the San Francisco 49ers looming, making the matchup with the Saints very important. The Seahawks play much better at CenturyLink Field and having this head to head matchup with New Orleans would be big for postseason position, as the Saints are 9-2 on the year. Thurmond has been solid in coverage this season and has over 30 tackles so far and now he could miss the next four games if he doesn't appeal the decision.

The Seahawks are ranked second in the league in passing yards allowed per game with under 190 and they are ranked 16th in the league with 112 rushing yards allowed and going down Thurmond could really test the depth of the roster and puts some pressure on Sherman in the matchup. The team hasn't lost a game since early October and have won six in a row and now the team heads into the toughest part of its schedule, playing the Saints on Monday night before back to back road games. The team will play the San Francisco 49ers in California in a huge game and then the team will travel to New York to play the G-Men.
