The Denver Broncos are being looked at as a Super Bowl favorite in the AFC, but after losing to the Chargers last week the number one seed and a bye is no guarantee and now the team plays the Houston Texans on Sunday in Week 16 at 1 pm on CBS and is a matchup that Peyton Manning needs to win, especially with the Texans being so terrible and the game is live online from Reliant Stadium.
The Broncos got lucky with the Patriots losing last week as well and now they can take care of business with a win against the awful Texans, who have not won since back in September, yep, that long and now the Broncos can wrap up the AFC West and a first round bye with a win and a loss by the Chiefs and they also can get the first round bye with a loss by the Patriots and Chiefs and a win by Denver. The Broncos are still in good position to get things done with the Oakland Raiders on the schedule next and Manning would love to get that first round bye, even though last season it did not work out with the Ravens winning that first playoff game for Denver. Manning is a front runner for MVP and while they lost last week, the team is in very good position to get into the number one seed, but the defense has to play better if they have any hope of winning the Super Bowl.

The Broncos are 11-3 on the season and the team finishes the last two weeks on the road after winning two of the last three games and four of the last six and the only two losses were by a combined 10 points against the Chargers and the Patriots and now Denver still has the chance to take care of business and Peyton Manning is out of the cold in the dome in Houston and that should be a big help and the team now has the chance to play teams that are not going to be in the playoffs and they must take advantage.
The Texans are 2-12 this season after nearly winning the number one seed in the AFC last year and that is a remarkable change for a team that is very talented. The Texans have not won a game since back in Week 2 of the season and they have lost 12 in a row. The team could easily be winless, as they won their first game by three on the final play and then got a win in overtime in week two against the Titans. The Broncos come into the game ranked first in the league in passing yards per game and 14th in rushing and for as bad as the Texans are, the Broncos defense has been giving up way too many yards, especially in the air and someone like Andre Johnson could have a big day.
The Texans defense has been solid, ranking second in the league in passing yards per game and the offense has not been terrible, but playing as a team has not come easily and now they are looking to get some pride back, or the first round pick in the draft next year. The team is coming off of a loss to the Indianapolis Colts and play against the Titans next and then the terribly disappointing season will be over as the team tries to find a new coach and likely a new QB after the way Matt Schaub played and Case Keenum could be the answer.
