The NCAA College Football bowl season is here and that means it's time for predictions for BCS games and projections and picks for the ESPN schedule and the 2013-12014 season is shaping up to be one of the best bowl sets of games ever, as teams like Alabama, Ohio State, Florida State and Oklahoma bowling this year.
The end of the season and the end of the BCS was very exciting and after the Auburn Tigers knocked off the Alabama Crimson Tide in their Iron Bowl game, or what we like to call the SEC playoffs, the team made an amazing run into the VIZIO BCS National Championship and now they will play against the undefeated Florida State Seminoles and it could end up being one of the best national title games of all time, as there is tons of talent in the matchup with Heisman winner Jameis Winston as well as Auburn players Nick Marshall and Tre Mason, who ended up as a finalist for the Heisman after an amazing game in the SEC title matchup.
Auburn was nearly out of the race multiple times, including at the last second against Georgia, but they found ways to win, including with an amazing missed field goal return against the Crimson Tide and now the undefeated FSU team will play the Tigers, who won the toughest conference in all of sports in the SEC to keep alive the streak of national championships won by the league, as they would be the ninth one from the conference. Auburn has rushed the ball better than anyone in the nation this season and Mason had over 300 yards against Missouri in the SEC championship and he also added four touchdowns and that performance helped him get enough votes to make it to NY for the ceremony.
Winston won in a landslide, but that won't be the case in the national championship, as Auburn has the offense to play with the Seminoles and the fact that FSU basically blasted every opponent this season will play in the Tigers favor, but only if they keep it close. Now that Winston has a possible rape case gone from his rearview he can concentrate on the important things in football and bringing the fans supporting him a national championship. This is about football and the Seminoles have a great team around Winston that makes them the favorites for the game.
In the other games, Oklahoma and Alabama will be playing in the Sugar Bowl game, while Clemson and Ohio State will be playing in the Orange Bowl after the Buckeyes lost against the Spartans of Michigan State in the Big Ten Championship. Baylor and UCF will also play and so will Stanford and MSU in the Rose Bowl. All of these games have the potential to be great and right now out predicted winners are: Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Stanford and Ohio State.
