The final Boxing Day match in the English Premier League schedule kicks off at 12:30 pm and 5:30 pm local time with Liverpool taking on Manchester City at Etihad Stadium and the match is a big one for both clubs after Arsenal won against West Ham United and that puts them atop the league table for now and the Reds have the chance to bounce back with a nice performance on Thursday.

Luis Suarez has been playing very well this season for the Reds and he scored two goals last time out and he is leading the EPL in scoring and he has the team in great position heading into the new year and while the team has some tough matches coming up, the way Suarez is playing means the team is in good position with Arsenal and Chelsea in the top of the table. Suarez has been the main reason why the team hasn't suffered without Steven Gerrard in the lineup and on Thursday for Boxing Day Arsenal finished with a good result to stay on top after two goals from Theo Walcott and another goal from Lukas Podolski against West Ham United and the early match had Manchester United winning over Hull City and the team came from two early goals down in the first 15 minutes and they were bailed out from Chris Smalling and Wayne Rooney and then an own goal from James Chester and the team moved up the table for now into the sixth spot.

Liverpool has a tough schedule coming up after playing Manchester City, as they will be away against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge before two games at the Anfield against Hull City and then Oldham Athletic in the FA Cup and after that comes an away match against Stoke City as well as matchups with West Brom, Aston Villa and Everton. The matches on Boxing Day were exciting and Man U got a much needed win, while Chelsea won 1-0 over Swansea City at Stamford Bridge and they got a goal from Eden Hazard, while Southampton finished on top of Cardiff City with two goals from Jay Rodriguez and one from Rickie Lambert, while Newcastle United finished on top of Stoke City with five goals while Fulham finished on top of Norwich.
