The NFL playoffs are coming up after this week's set of games and the AFC is still not totally settled yet, as the Pittsburgh Steelers, Miami Dolphins, Baltimore Ravens and San Diego Chargers are battling for the final playoff spot, while home field advantage and the number one seed is still not set either and it'll take the Week 17 games to do so.
The Steelers need the final spot to come down to a five way tie of 8-8 teams in the AFC, as they would win out based on all the different tiebreakers that would come from it, but that is also the least likely scenario to play out percentage wise. The Dolphins have the best shot to get in by percentage, but no team in the spot between the four controls its own destiny, as they all need to win and have something else happen before they can actually clinch the spot and on top of that, things won't be fully finished until the Chargers play the later game in the afternoon.
The number 1 seed in the conference and the home field advantage bye is between the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriot's and Peyton Manning and company simply need to win and they are in for the top spot, while the Patriots need to win and have the Broncos lose. If both teams lose, the Broncos get the top spot in the conference. The Patriots are likely to get the number two spot if all holds and while the Bengals and Colts are alive for the spot, it is more likely that the Pats and the Broncos are the teams that will be in the top two spots.
There is still plenty that will go down on Sunday. Oh Yeah playoffs.
