Where Is Tim Tebow Now? Rumors Have Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars As Best QB Team Options With SEC Network TV Job

Dec 30, 2013 03:38 PM EST

The Tim Tebow free agent saga now will be moving towards the 2014 season and where Tebow is now is irrelevant, but where he will be next year is the pressing question and with teams like the Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders and Houston Texans possibly needing quarterbacks, Tebow could end up in one of those camps and now the QB has been hired by the SEC Network.

Tebow made his way to the New England Patriots before the 2013 season started and that came after his terrible tenure with the New York Jets and while head coach Bill Belichick liked him very much and his work ethic as well as the fact that Josh McDaniels was the man that drafted him, the team cut him loose before the season started and he remained on the free agent market for the rest of the season and did not get much of a look from anyone apart from a small sniff from the St. Louis Rams and that wasn't much of a real sniff anyway after the team lost Sam Bradford and now Tebow is looking for his next move.

There were reports that Tebow hired a new agent to handle his entertainment side of things and that led to speculation that Tebow would be moving towards a TV job and that could still be in the future for the former Heisman winning quarterback. Tebow has been offered a number of jobs this season in various league as well as other opportunities, but he avoided most of those and stuck with football and now he has the chance to work this offseason to see if another team gives him a chance in the preseason next year.

Tebow came from the Jets after playing for the Denver Broncos and after the team signed Peyton Manning, he was traded to New York and that ended in disaster, as the team had no idea how to use him and then he eventually was released by the Jets and now he is looking for a new job after signing with the Patriots and the team gave him a good shot, but they haven't held three quarterback's into the season for a number of years, so he was let go.

Tebow is a good man and a good football player, but as a quarterback, teams feel he still has plenty of development to go to be a solid backup. Tebow is a good soldier and he even talked about the Jets in a positive fashion when his former teammate David Nelson called him before signing with the team and he said that the organization was a first class one and that they treat players with respect and he had not hard feelings for the team, even though they put him in tough situations and then cut him after many teams already added QBs for the summer. Tebow now has plenty of questions for his future, but he is a winner and is not a player that gives up easily. Tebow is a fit for many teams, but it depends on if coaches and organizations are willing to deal with the press and media attention as well as the fact that Tebow will be in camp competing at quarterback and teams won't want another Mark Sanchez situation.
