Brazilian Ramires can't wait for compatriot Hulk to join him at Chelsea.
Hulk has been linked with a big-money move to Stamford Bridge for some time now, with several quarters suggesting the deal is almost done. Chelsea have reportedly agreed to pay Hulk's current club FC Porto $50 million for the striker's services. Hulk has also made it clear he would like to move on and has suggested his preference for Chelsea.
Ramires, having played with the Porto striker at international level, thinks Hulk's arrival will bode well for the European champions. "I'm following here from Brazil the news about Chelsea's likely signing of Hulk," Ramires told Lancenet.
"I hope he does come, I have played with him for the Brazilian national team, and I also played against him when I was at Benfica and he would surely add a lot to Chelsea's squad.
"If it was up to me, everything would be done already," the Brazilian who scored the vital goal against Barcelona in the semi-finals added.
However, according to ESPN, the deal for Hulk is far from done. "I wish that was true, but there is no deal with Chelsea," a source with Porto was quoted as saying on ESPN's website.
Another Brazilian target for Chelsea, Lucas Moura, has revealed his ambition to play for Real Madrid one day. "It would be a dream to play for Real Madrid, they are one of the biggest clubs in the world," Moura told Esporte Espetacular.
"My parents visited Spain with my agent, they met the club's president, they were probably even invited by Real Madrid's president. They sat to talk, but there isn't anything official."
Branislav Ivanovic rubbished a person's comments claiming to be his agent. Reports emerged on Tuesday about Ivanovic committing his future to Chelsea following comments to the media by Vlado Borozan.
"I've seen in the press that an agent called Vlado Borozan has been saying things on my behalf, I would just like to put on record that he is not my agent and does not have the right to tell the press anything on my behalf," Ivanovic told Sky Sports in a statement.
"With regards to speculation about my future, we will see what happens. But whatever happens, it will be between myself, Chelsea and my actual representatives.
"As it stands today, I am a proud Chelsea player. I have four years remaining on my contract, have just won the Champions League, just captained my country on international duty, and am now ready for a holiday with my family to recharge my batteries and get ready for next season."
Borozan, claiming to be Ivanovic's agent, said earlier about the Serbian defender being linked with a move to Napoli: "It's only a rumor because my client has renewed his contract with Chelsea at a figure that would not meet the financial fair play of Napoli," Borozan told Radio CRC.
"Ivanovic has three years left in his contract and I don't believe the basis is there to start a negotiation with Napoli.
"First of all, Chelsea does not want to part with the player and Ivanovic does not want to leave the club."
Meanwhile, another Italian club Fiorentina are interested in the loan signing of youngster Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian striker had a disappointing first season with Chelsea and could be tempted to move to Italy in search of first-team opportunities.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp, who has just one year left on his contract with the North London club, has again been linked with the top job at Stamford Bridge after contract talks broke down with Redknapp demanding Spurs give him a new long-term deal.
