The Denver Nuggets are shopping point guard Andre Miller after he got into an incident on the bench with head coach Brian Shaw and following his suspension for that act, the team is looking to trade the star and there are a number of teams that could be interested, including the Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks and Sacramento Kings.
The Kings have been looking to add some depth at the position since trading for Rudy Gay and Derrick Williams this season and the Golden State Warriors appear to be the top team on the list, as their roster has not been as deep as they had hoped since losing Jarrett Jack and they may see Miller as a replacement. According to numerous reports from the Denver Post and ESPN.com, Miller is currently being shopped by the Nuggets and it comes after he had an outburst on head coach Brian Shaw, which followed the point guard getting his first ever did not play, coaches decision scratch in his career and that likely triggered things.
Ty Lawson has been the primary point guard all season and has played well in stretches and now Miller is likely on his way out after previously being traded by the team in the Allen Iverson deal and according to Yahoo Sports, the Kings and the Warriors are the two main teams that could land him. The Kings and Warriors are both motivated to get their hands on a point guard, as they tried to pull off deals with Kyle Lowry on the Raptors, but nothings came to pass on those and now Miller could be the man to move.
The suspension of Miller was later taken back, but the damage may be done and now he could be on his way out with a $4.5 million salary next season five for this season and while he is getting up there in age, he can provide some solid minutes for a contender. Miller is averaging under 10 points this season and is considered a player with a high basketball IQ (ummm Knicks maybe should call for JR Smith, helllllo) and he could be a player that makes an impact for a playoff contender this season.
