ESPN College Football TV Schedule: Florida State vs. Auburn Start Time and Channel For BCS National Championship Game

Jan 06, 2014 03:25 PM EST

The ESPN college football schedule finishes up this season with Florida State playing against Auburn and the game will start up at 8:30 pm ET and on ESPN for the BCS National Championship Game and the matchup will be from the Rose Bowl in Pasadena and comes over 10 years after FSU made it to their last national championship and that was in the first ever BCS and now they will close out the system.

Florida State comes into the game undefeated and the Seminoles have a Heisman winning quarterback in Jameis Winston and the team has the best defense in the nation, allowing just 10 points per game. The Seminoles have not seen an offense like Auburn's yet this season, but they have played a high scoring offense in Clemson and they will have to do their best to stop Tre Mason and Nick Marshall from rushing all over the place.

The Tigers are in the top part of the nation in rushing with over 300 yards per game and Mason ended up with more than that against Missouri in the SEC championship game and now he will get the chance to face off against a tough defense in FSU. Florida State star Kelvin Benjamin will be a player to watch on Monday night, as the Auburn secondary is on the smaller side of things and Benjamin is an athletic freak in the mold of Calvin Johnson. Chris Davis, the hero of the Iron Bowl, will be the player to watch in the secondary and if he can shut down or at least hold down Benjamin, the game could be had for the Tigers.

Winston comes into the game as a redshirt freshman and he won the Heisman after setting a number of records and not getting charged with rape and now he has the chance to finish the season with even more records, as he could finish with the best QB rating ever with another solid game. Tre Mason rushed his way into the Heisman ceremony with over 300 yards against Missouri and 1,621 on the season and he also added 22 touchdowns and he should be a big factor in the matchup on Monday night.

Florida State comes in as one of the best offensive teams ever, as they are coming into the game as one of the highest scoring teams in NCAA history and are just 28 behind the all-time record, while Auburn comes in tested, having gone 5-1 against top 25 teams this season, including in the past two games against top five teams and now they will have another one and this comes after the team was horrible in the SEC last season and both teams come in on bowl winning streaks with five each.

The game on Monday night from Pasadena starts up at 8:30 pm on ESPN and has Florida State taking on Auburn.
