The Cleveland Browns have another top 10 pick in the draft and after getting rid of Rob Chudzinski in the hours before Black Monday, the team needs a new head coach and one name that will not be there is Josh McDaniels, as he took his name out of the running and that means he won't be drafting players like Jadeveon Clowney, Blake Bortles, Sammy Watkins or Teddy Bridgewater for the team.
According to ESPN.com, McDaniels, who is the offensive coordinator for the Patriots, took his name out of the running after there were reports that he was one of the top candidates after a meeting with the team. McDaniels said that he was impressed with the franchise and the execs liked him, but McDaniels is concentrating on the playoffs against the Colts and decided to drop put and now the 4-12 teams is looking for a new coach and ti comes after the Browns ended the season on a seven game losing streak and that culminated in the firing of the Chud.
The Browns were terrible last season apart from their pass defense, which they ranked eighth in the NFL in, but everything else was a mess, as the team ranked 27th in rushing yards and 18th in yards allowed on the ground and they were in the bottom half of the league in total defense. The team did not get much from Jason Campbell or Brandon Weeden and that is why many think the team will go QB in the draft.
Johnny Manziel is an option and so are names like Jadeveon Clowney, Blake Bortles, Sammy Watkins or Teddy Bridgewater and all those players could be picks for the Browns. Many experts see Bridgewater as the top pick for the Texans, but Bortles is moving up spots and so is Clowney and Manziel is a wild card in the whole mix. The Rams and Jaguars pick after the Texans and they could go for any of those players as well.
