The Oklahoma City Thunder are currently second in the western conference in the standings and on Thursday night they will play against the Denver Nuggets in the second game of a TNT NBA doubleheader and the game will be on at 10:30 pm and streaming online from the Pepsi Center in Colorado.
The Thunder come into the game after losing a very disappointing game to the terrible Utah Jazz despite getting 48 points from Kevin Durant and now they will try to rebound with a win over the Nuggets on this mini road trip. The team comes into the game with a 27-8 record and they will be facing off against a 17-17 Nuggets team that has been struggling over the past month and after playing against the Nuggets the team has a matchup against the Bucks, who are one of the worst teams in the east and that could help the team get into position to overtake the Spurs as the best in the west.
Durant has been playing fantastic this season and is averaging nearly 30 points per game and after putting in nearly 50 against the Jazz, he will have the chance to do some work again on Thursday. The team comes into the game ranked first in the NBA in rebounding and third in scoring with over 105 points per game and they have been playing great defense as well, ranking eighth in the league in scoring on points allowed per game. Durant is one of the top players in All Star voting and coming into the next part of the schedule the team has some tough matchups with the Houston Rockets, Golden State warriors, Portland Trail Blazers and the San Antonio Spurs and those games are on back to back nights.
