EPL Table and Standings: English Premier League Has Arsenal First Over Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool

Jan 10, 2014 10:27 PM EST

The English Premier League table is back in action this weekend and the EPL standings gas Arsenal leading the way in first place, as the Gunners have a slight lead over Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool heading into Saturday and they are ahead of Everton, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Newcastle and all the teams are in action starting tomorrow.

The Gunners have the lead with 14 wins, three draws and 45 points this season and they are just a point over Manchester United, who has 14 wins and two draws, while Chelsea is right there at two points behind the Gunners and one behind Man City with 43 points on the season and the other teams in Liverpool, Tottenham and Man U are all under 40 and are looking for more positive results heading into the back stretch of January.

Saturday has a number of interesting matchups on the schedule, as Manchester United will be playing against Swansea City at Old Trafford after just losing to the club in the third round of the FA Cup and David Moyes will be looking for a nice result from the match to get the team back on track. The early games on the schedule have Hull City and Chelsea starting things off first before the 10 am ET slate with Cardiff City and West Ham, Tottenham and Crystal Palace, as well as Everton and Norwich City.

The other matches on the schedule include Fulham against Sunderland as well as Southampton taking on West Bromwich. The Sunday schedule has two matches with Newcastle United and Manchester City playing at St. James Park, while Stoke City and Liverpool play at Britannia Stadium in the late match. Monday has the Gunners taking on Aston Villa at Villa Park and that likely means that Arsenal will fall from the top of the table for a short time until they play again on Monday.
