The Duke Blue Devils have been playing some solid ball this season with new freshman phenom Jabari Parker and now the team faces off against the Clemson Tigers at Littlejohn Coliseum at 2 pm and the game will be on the ESPN3 website on Saturday and the team is 12-3 on the season and ranked 16th in the nation after winning against Georgia Tech.
The team comes in after winning another ACC matchup against GT and that game saw 27 points from star Rodney Hood, who has been playing very well this season and the team next will play at home against Virginia before taking on NC State and then after that the team plays against Miami and Florida State. Duke comes into the game ranked 17th in the nation in scoring with 84 points per game and the team is ranked 32nd in assists per game and 14th in field goal percentage. The team lost its first ACC game with Notre Dame and is now 1-1 on the season and they push into the ACC schedule with some great matchups coming up, including against number two Syracuse and later against rival North Carolina.
Parker has been leading the team in scoring and he has been as good as advertised and Hood has been great since coming over as a transfer and while the team has fallen down a bit in the rankings, they are expected to be one of the top teams in the ACC and a national title contender. The team is coming off of a loss against Florida State and they next will be playing against Virginia Tech and they have won two of the past three games. The team plays four of the next five on the road and the team also has matchups against Syracuse, Notre Dame and North Carolina coming up on the schedule.
