The English Premier League table pushed Arsenal down in the standings behind Manchester City and Chelsea for the time being as they finish the EPL schedule on Monday against Aston Villa and with a victory in that match the Gunners will put themselves back as the top club in the Barclays.
Arsenal comes in just two points back of Man City and one back of the Blues after both clubs won over the weekend and now Liverpool is in fourth position ahead of fifth place Everton on the league table. Hull City and Chelsea played to a 2-0 match that the Blues won after goals from Eden Hazard and that put the team in scoring position and that was the early match on Saturday, while Manchester City won on Sunday morning in the first match over Newcastle by the same score after goals from Edin Dzeko and Álvaro Negredo.
There were a number of 2-0 matches on Saturday and Sunday, with Cardiff City and West Ham playing to a 2-0 match that was won by United after goals from Carlton Cole and Mark Noble and they helped them keep pace on the league table as well. Everton emerged by the same score with Gareth Barry and Kevin Mirallas scoring for the team and that came before Sunderland got a big match from Adam Johnson, who scored three goals in the win against Fulham by the score of 4-1, while Southampton defeated West Brom by the score of 1-0 after a goal from Adam Lallana.
Tottenham emerged by that same score of 2-0 against Crustal Palace after CP missed an early penalty kick and then the Spurs got goals from Christian Eriksen and Jermain Defoe, while the late match on Saturday and the same 2-0 score with goals from Antonio Valencia and Danny Welbeck. Sunday saw Man City win over Newcastle and then Liverpool pulled out a big win with two goals from Luis Suarez over Stoke City and that match saw the return of Steven Gerrard, who scored on a penalty and the club also got a score from Daniel Sturridge.
