WWE is reportedly trying to book Undertaker for the 1,000th edition of Monday Night Raw which will take place on July 23rd. Undertaker has not appeared on WWE television since beating Triple H at WrestleMania 28. That appearance was his first since the previous year's WrestleMania.
Once the anchor of the Smackdown brand, Undertaker's health and age now keep him from appearing on a regular basis. Thus, WWE is without yet another of its biggest draws.
WWE hopes to secure "The Phenom" before the end of June, in order to build his brief return over the course of at least three weeks.
Undertaker also appeared on the 15TH Anniversary show of Raw. Though wrestling a full schedule at the time, his appearance was brief and did not include an actual match. Instead, he appeared towards the show's conclusion to tombstone Vince McMahon.
Reportedly, WWE is also interested in debuting new talent during the special broadcast. Other surprise cameos are in the works as well.
