The Atlanta Hawks and Brooklyn Nets both appear to be getting their seasons back in order. The Nets have put together a solid little win streak while the Hawks have a winning record thanks to their success on home court. Both teams will look to start gaining speed in the Eastern Conference as they face off in the O2 Arena as part of the NBA's quest to bring the league to London.
The Hawks are one of the rare teams in the East with a winning record. They are seeking their third win in four games, but have yet to find luck against Brooklyn. The team is unstoppable at home with a 14-5 record, having won their last 10 of 12 at Philips Arena. However, they are 6-13 on the roach, leaving head coach Mike Budenholzer to worry about consistency.
The Hawks have lacked that consistency against Brooklyn. The team shot just 38.6 percent in their last loss to the team on Jan. 6. Paul Millsap and Jeff Teague combined to go just 9 of 27 from the floor. The duo looks to improve this time around.
The Nets head to London with injuries once again headlining their starting lineup. Point guard Deron Williams did not make the trip with the team thanks to ailing ankles. The team's five-game win streak ended in a 96-80 loss to the Toronto Raptors and now the team will look to shake off jet lag in order to get back on track.
Joe Johnson has been Mr. Clutch for Brooklyn as of late. However, in the Saturday loss, he went just 4 for 13 from the field for 11 points. He showed plenty of signs of fatigue after averaging 27.3 points in the past three games. Paul Pierce is also looking back on track, averaging 16.3 points during that stretch.
The Nets are hoping to beat the Hawks for the fourth time in five games. Head coach Jason Kidd is doing his best to keep the team focused while media and hoopla surround the trip to London.
