The UFC held its official weigh-in on Thursday afternoon for Friday night's UFC on FX: Johnson vs. McCall fight card at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla., and while all 24 fighters on the card made weight, it wasn't without a few difficulties.
Middleweight Cael Magalhaes, who's scheduled to face Buddy Roberts in a preliminary bout on Fuel TV, initially weighed in at 187 pounds, but re-weighed without his shorts and made the weight class with the standard one-pound allowance. The same was true of welterweight fighter Lance Benoist, who first weighed in at 171.5 pounds, but shed his shorts to make weight at 171.
Meanwhile, lightweight Tim Means, who's scheduled to face Justin Salas in another preliminary bout on Fuel, was initially announced three pounds over at 158, but UFC matchmaker Joe Silva assisted the local official in making a proper reading.
There were no issues on the main card, which is headlined by Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson and Ian "Uncle Creepy" McCall in a rematch of their UFC Flyweight Tournament bout on March 3, which was mistakenly announced as a Johnson win before it was later revealed to be a draw. Both fighters made weight without difficulty for the rematch, with McCall predicting afterwards that he will finish Johnson within three rounds.
