The Oklahoma City Thunder are unstoppable thanks to the sharp shooting of Kevin Durant. The Thunder are looking to roll through their fifth-straight win as they face their Western Conference rivals in the San Antonio Spurs in a game poised to be a playoff preview.
Durant already has three NBA scoring titles to his name and he is looking to add a fourth as he currently averages 30.9 points per game. In the past eight games, he has upped that average to 39.3 points per game including 46 against Portland. He has three games of 40 or more points this season while shooting 67.6 percent from the field. Can Durant win another title? Yes.
The Spurs are on a hot streak of their own lately. The team has won seven of their last eight games. Injuries have taken their toll as Tony Parker, Matt Bonner, Tiago Splitter and Danny Green have all missed time. But Tim Duncan and Mano Ginobili have been able to get the wins in. Also the team's bench with Patty Mills and Jeff Ayres are holding their own on the court.
San Antonio and Oklahoma City have put up some classic battles the past few seasons. The Thunder have won eight of its last 10 games the Spurs including their six-game win in the 2012 Western Conference finals. San Antonio has the upper-hand at home though as the Spurs have beaten Oklahoma City six-straight times during the regular season.
The winner of this matchup will hold the Western Conference's best overall record. The Spurs are well-aware that simply stopping Kevin Durant will be impossible so the team will aim to up their scoring as well.
