Chelsea Transfer News: Fellaini Next Big Target; Hulk Asks Porto To Let Him Go

Chelsea are set to land another exciting young midfielder after Roman Abramovich reportedly made Everton's Marouane Fellaini his next big target.

Fellaini is one of the most highly regarded players in the Premier League and has blossomed into a big-game physical player since his move from Standard Liege to Everton in 2008 for a fee of $24 million. According to the Daily Mirror, Abramovich sees Fellaini as the perfect foil to the attacking quartet of Eden Hazard, Juan Mata, Hulk and Fernando Torres.

Everton, however, are likely to expect a considerable amount for the Belgian international, with Chelsea reportedly starting with a $30 million bid.

Everton teammate Phil Jagielka recently said he was worried Fellaini, 24, would be bought by some of the bigger clubs, due to his consistently good form.

With Michael Essien expected to leave Stamford Bridge this season, Fellaini is seen as the perfect replacement.

Another high-profile target Hulk has put his weight behind manufacturing a move to the European champions. Hulk is reported to be close to signing for the Stamford Bridge club, with the transfer fee still to be decided. However, according to the Daily Mail, the Brazilian has made his intentions clear about wanting to move to Chelsea and it is understood the Blues will agree on a fee with Porto, sooner rather than later.

Wigan youngster Victor Moses is also being linked with a move to Chelsea. Moses had a breakout season last year with Wigan, helping them to stay clear from relegation. The 21-year-old has reportedly piqued the interest of several top Premier League clubs and Moses himself admitted he would be open to a move. "I don't know for now (whether I will leave Wigan), but there's a link for me to Liverpool, Chelsea and some other clubs in England.

"If the offer is cool, why not, I will move."

A player rumored to be on his way is Daniel Sturridge. The England youngster will find it hard to hold down a regular place in the starting line up after Chelsea's big summer signings and it is understood the 22-year-old could look for a new club in the summer.

Former club Manchester City have been sounded as a possible destination, with Roberto Mancini known to be an admirer of the forward's talents. Mancini has previously stated his displeasure of City letting go of Sturridge to Chelsea, before the Italian took charge.

Meanwhile, Newcastle have entered the race to sign former Chelsea player Salomon Kalou. The Ivory Coast international is reportedly close to signing for Schalke, but according to talkSPORT, Newcastle manager Alan Pardew sees Kalou as a perfect fit at St James' Park.

Roberto Di Matteo could yet be made Chelsea manager after number one target Pep Guardiola reportedly said he is not ready to come back to management yet, according to the Daily Mail.

It is not clear, however, if Di Matteo will take up the job as he fears he will be keeping the seat warm for Guardiola to take over next year.
