The Winter X Games Aspen 2014 will truly kick off on Thursday night and continues Saturday and Sunday and the Snowboard Freestyle Final and Superpipe competitions will be live streaming on TV from ESPN and the time will be at 9 pm and it will go to 11 pm and the schedule includes the Snowmobile FreeStyle Final and those should be great even without Shaun White competing.
The star will absent from the games so that he can finish training for the US team in the Olympics in Sochi and right now those are his main concerns. ESPN and the WatchESPN website will have live streaming coverage of the X Games on Thursday night and over the weekend and on Friday will be a number of other competitions, including for both men and women and some include the always fun Big Air event, as well as the skiing and snowboarding finals.
White is representing the nation for the second time and he took gold as the flying tomato in the last winter Olympic games and now he is looking for another. Saturday will have the finals of the men's snowboarding slope style and that schedule has a number of great events, including the women's Superpipe as well as the Boarder X Final and ski big air finals. Sunday finishes things off and the best event is last with the Men's Snowboard SuperPipe Final and before that the women will finish the ski slope style and the men will do the same.

Here is more on Shaun White and his decision to not compete in the X-Games this season in Aspen and it comes ahead of the Winter Olympics next month in Sochi Russia and he will compete for USA again and here is more from Reuters.com. Olympic snowboarding champion Shaun White has decided not to compete at this week's X Games in Aspen in order to focus on his preparations for the Sochi Winter Games, ESPN reported on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old Californian, who won gold in the men's halfpipe at each of the past two Winter Olympics, will represent the United States in halfpipe and slopestyle in Sochi.
He had planned to compete at the X Games as well but changed his mind at the last minute.
"I've been competing in the X Games since I was 13 years old, they are a huge part of why I am where I am and they are vital to the sport," White told ESPN after a practice session on the slopestyle course at Buttermilk Mountain.
"Unfortunately, when I arrived at the mountain and looked over the schedule, I knew I wasn't going to be able to complete the kind of training I know I need in order to prepare for Sochi.
White is chasing two gold medals in Sochi after slopestyle was added to the Olympic program for the first time.
Competing in both events poses a difficult challenge because of the extra workload and demands on his time.
He had initially planned to miss the X Games then decided to compete before changing his mind a final time.
"It's an incredibly tough decision for me and it's not something I take lightly," he said.
"But I have to make sure I'm prepared for the Olympics."
