Feb 01, 2014 05:33 PM EST

The NFL Awards show schedule for 2014 has an 8 pm ET start time and the live stream will be online and it will air on the NFL Network for the third straight season and starts up after the red carpet special and the MVP awards and player honors will be announced at the event on Saturday and names like Peyton Manning and Richard Sherman should be winning awards prior to the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Peyton Manning is a near lock to win another MVP award and this comes after he passed for over 5,400 yards and 55 touchdowns this season while leading his Denver Broncos team to a 13-3 record and a division title in the AFC West. Manning is looking to win his second Super Bowl and after the season he had, the Broncos have the best offense in the league and he put up better stats than anyone else and was simply masterful at times, including in the opening game of the season when he passed for seven touchdowns against the Ravens to get things started off on the right track.

There will be a ton of awards given out on Saturday night and this comes as the NFL has realized that anyone will watch nearly anything the NFL puts on and apart from the MVP award, offensive and defensive player of the year awards will be handed out as well. The coach of the year has a number of candidates and names like Ron Rivera and Andy Reid should be in the mix, as will Pete Carroll after taking his Seahawks team into the playoffs as the number one seed in the NFC and they were 13-3 as well and now are headed into a matchup with the Broncos on Super Sunday.

The AP offensive and defensive rookie awards are always fun to see and names like Eddie Lacy and Keenan Allen will be in the mix and there is also another rookie of the year award along with the AP comeback player of the year and that was won by Manning last season, while Adrian Peterson won MVP and now Manning is poised to snag that trophy. The streaming coverage will be on NFL.com and some other names to watch for various awards includes Robert Mathis, Richard Sherman, Robert Quinn, Josh Gordon as well as Kiko Alonso and Greg Hardy.

Allen was amazing while the Chargers dealt with injuries and ended up with 1,046 yards and eight scores, while Lacy went over 1,000 yards and had 11 touchdowns and he could be the rookie of the year. Manning will win the MVP and that will give him five AP MVP awards to put him two ahead of some great names in Jim Brown, Brett Favre and Johnny Unitas and Mathis is expected to win player of the year on defense and he had nearly 20 sacks this season and eight forced fumbles, while Sherman should give him a run for his money as well.

The red carpet special starts at 7 pm and the awards show starts at 8 pm on Saturday from the NFL Network and NFL.com. Check here for the stream.
