The Super Bowl score got started off with a strange play after safety opened the game and here is a live blog with stats updates, play-by-play and scoring updates from the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos from SB XLVIII and the game is from MetLife Stadium and airing on FOX.
The game started off with a wild play, as the Denver Broncos got the ball after the Seattle Seahawks deferred after winning the kickoff and as Peyton Manning tried to change the play, the ball was snapped due to the loud noise and it ended up going over his head and into the end zone and that gave the Seahawks the early 2-0 lead. The team then went up 5-0 after a Steven Hauschka field goal and that led to some more drives for the Broncos but they ended up punting it away and the Seahawks then got the ball back and ended up adding another field goal.
The game has started off slow for the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks have been hitting hard and the early plays by Kam Chancellor and Earl Thomas have been the standouts so far. Demaryius Thomas and Wes Welker have been hit hard and the team did not get into the endzone for the first part of the game and it took a while for the offense to get going and there have already been challenges from both coaches and they each lost those and there was a fumble by Knowshon Moreno and that has been an issue in his career, but the team recovered the fumble.
Kam Chancellor made an interception in the first quarter and that was a huge play after Manning tried to pass the ball to Julius Thomas and Chancellor was there to make the play and now he has two in the postseason. The Seahawks had the best defense in the NFL this season and now they have forced the first turnover in the game and that could change the outcome of the game and the team has a safety, punt and a interception on the Broncos first three drives and they will need to play better to get back into the game. The Broncos had just 11 yards in the first quarter and that was their lowest total of the season and now Manning is looking to try and get the team back into the game.
Manning won the MVP award after passing for over 5,400 yards this season with 55 touchdowns and he passed for 400 yards in the AFC championship game and now he is looking to get things back on track. Wilson started off the first quarter with over 80 yards passing and Percy Harvin has been excellent rushing the ball with 45 yards already and Doug Baldwin has been the leading receiver so far.
