Feb 03, 2014 11:39 AM EST

The Seahawks championship parade schedule is coming on Wednesday and the seattle route will take the team through the city as they celebrate their Super Bowl victory over the Denver Broncos and Pete Carroll has called for a school day and players like Russell Wilson, Richard Sherman and MVP Malcolm Smith will celebrate the XLVIII victory with fans.

Now that the Super Bowl is over, the 31 other teams will look to next season and now the Seahawks get the chance to celebrate before doing that and the parade is expected to start up at 2 pm ET and will be on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 and will start going down Fourth Avenue in Seattle. The parade for the championship celebration will start at 11 am PT and will be on Fourth Avenue south of Denny Way, according to the Seattle Times and the parade will snake through the city towards the home stadium of CenturyLink Field about two hours later.

Last year the Baltimore Ravens won the Super Bowl and the previous season the New York Giants had the championship parade and now the trophy comes back to the NFC and back to the west coast. The Seahawks completely dominated the Broncos in the Super Bowl and literally 12 seconds into the game Denver was behind after allowing a safety when a snap went over Peyton Manning's head. Russell Wilson had two touchdowns in the game and Malcolm Smith was named the MVP of the game after he made an interception return for a touchdown and he also had a crucial fumble recovery from Demaryius Thomas and Seattle ended up winning the turnover battle.

The Seahawks are heading back to Seattle once the weather breaks and they are going to be returning to the city Monday and will have the parade on Tuesday and the event will finish up at the stadium with an event in the afternoon. Fans are going to greet the team in Seattle and the announcement about the route said that the procession will not be on South 188th Street and the team will have a celebration at home this week after the parade with a special event as well.

Russell Wilson won the Super Bowl in just his second season to join Tom Brady, Kurt Warner and Ben Roethlisberger as other QBs to do that and he bested Peyton Manning, who finished with two interceptions and 280 yards in the game. Percy Harvin was huge and he ended up rushing for 45 yards and he also had a kickoff to start the second half with a touchdown and that put the game out of reach. The team shutout the Broncos in the first half of the game and ended up pounding the team 43-8 and while Demaryius Thomas had a record of 13 catches, he had just 118 yards and the team did not get things going at all during the matchup. The Broncos were not consistent on offense and after getting the safety at the beginning of the game they never could recover and the Seahawks defense was amazing all night and now they are Super Bowl champions.
