Miami Heat Can Win Game 7

Jun 09, 2012 10:03 AM EDT

I am not predicting a victor, but there are reasons why the Miami Heat look like the favorite in Game 7.

First and foremost, in Game 6, LeBron James schooled the Boston Celtics in all dimensions of the game. If he decides to go bonkers against Boston tonight, the Heat will be crowned Eastern Conference Champions for the second consecutive year.

Secondly, the emergence of Chris Bosh has given the Heat balance in their lineup. He can guard Kevin Garnett, who felt Bosh's presence in Game 6 after only scoring 12 points.

Now that Bosh is back in the lineup, his is ability to make shots on the perimeter forces Garnett to stay away from the paint.

No Garnett in the paint means the Heat can use their agility to get rebounds and also permits James and Dwyane Wade to attack the basket.

Lastly, the Heat play in their home court. It cannot be stressed enough how important it is to have the crowd on your side.

In Oklahoma City, fans did not refuse to give up, even after the Thunder were down by 18.

Granted, they possess the best outside shooter in the game and the Sixth Man of the NBA, an 18-point lead can evaporate in seconds as they proved in Game 6 at home.

Do not think for a minute that this will faze the Boston Celtics. Rajon Rondo scored 44 points in a Game 2 that was in the American Airlines Arena.

The Celtics also took Game 5 in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter.

With Rondo as their playmaker, all they have  worry about is getting open.

The Celtics will need to have a superb shooting night because if they struggle, the missed shots will ignite the Heat crowd that wants to see their team travel to Oklahoma City.

Game 7 will tipoff a little after 8:30 PM EDT.
