Chelsea and Newcastle United are playing live on the English Premier League Saturday match schedule and the game will be streaming for the Blues from Stamford Bridge online from the NBC Sports Network Live Extra website at 10 am ET and has the club looking to get closer to the top of the EPL table standings after a huge victory over Manchester City.
Chelsea and Man City played last week ahead of their English FA Cup Round 5 match coming up and the same thing is happening this week to Liverpool and Arsenal, as they are playing at the Anfield before their matchup in the FA Cup at the Emirates. Chelsea won 1-0 against Man City at the Etihad and that loss finally snapped Man City's eight match winning streak and 12-match unbeaten streak and kept them in second place on the table behind the Gunners and now the Blues and Manchester city are even on points.
Chelsea came into that match after a scoreless draw against West Ham and that came after a win over Stoke City in the FA Cup and now they are looking to advance after that. The club had a nice home win against Manchester United and now they have some tough ones coming up, including a return trip to the Etihad and that will be for the FA Cup and comes before the team has to play Everton at home and then against Galatasaray at Türk Telekom Arena for the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, which will pick up with a second leg later on a few weeks after the first matchup.
Chelsea has a tough schedule continuing through the spring and they have away matchups with Fulham as well as Aston Villa and they also have matches with Arsenal, Stoke City and Swansea City. Arsenal comes into the week in first on the English Premier League table and they have a two point lead on both Manchester City and Chelsea and they are up ahead of both Liverpool and Everton to round out the top five. Tottenham is next on the table over Manchester United and that is followed by Newcastle and they will be looking for the upset on Saturday as they take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. They are ahead of Southampton and Aston Villa on the table and behind them are Stoke and Swansea City, followed by Hull City and Sunderland.
Chelsea has a tough road ahead, but they are within striking distance of the top of the league table and with Liverpool playing Arsenal at the Anfield, things could be up for grabs for both the Blues and Manchester City on Saturday, as they are playing Norwich City at 10 am as well. The rest of the matches this week include the early go with Liverpool and Arsenal, while Sunderland and Swansea City are also playing. Tottenham is playing against Everton on Sunday in the early match at White Hart Lane, while Manchester United and Fulham are going at it in the late match at Old Trafford before Cardiff City and Aston Villa play on Monday.
