Maryland and Duke are playing live on Saturday and the matchup comes for the Blue Devils and the Terrapins after the game against North Carolina was postponed for the Devs and now they have another ACC college basketball matchup on ESPN and it will be streaming online from the WatchESPN website at 6 pm ET from Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Duke comes in ranked eighth in the nation and they are heading into the matchup against Maryland after two straight wins and they had their last game delayed against the Tar Heels. The team is third in the ACC right now and this comes after a tough overtime loss against Syracuse and they remain undefeated after their stunner against Pitt and now they are three games behind and back behind the Orange and Virginia. The team now has two games left against North Carolina and a home matchup against Syracuse and the team finishes with a number of tough games on the schedule, including Virginia Tech and Wake Forest and this comes after some great matchups with Michigan and Arizona earlier in the season.
Jabari Parker has been excellent this season as a freshman and he is averaging 20 points per game and is also leading the team in rebounding and he will be a prime focus on Saturday night. Duke comes into the matchup ranked 15th in the nation in scoring with over 80 points per game and they are 28th in assists with 15 per game and the team is ranked in the top 40 in the nation in field goal percentage and they are shooting close to 48 percent from the floor. The team defense has been solid with 67 points allowed per game and the Blue Devils are looking like one of the best teams in the conference once again.
Maryland comes into the game after a tough loss to Virginia and after playing against Duke the Terrapins play against Wake Forest and that will be at home at the Comcast Center and the team has been averaging 72 points per game. The team has lost two of the last three games on the schedule before the Duke game and they still have a matchup with Syracuse and that will also be a home game against the number one team in the nation. The team hosts Virginia and they are currently ranked 17th in the nation and that will be the last game of the season for Maryland and that games after a game against Va. Tech and Clemson. The team is 6-6 in the conference this season and are looking for a nice win against Duke coming on Saturday night.
The ACC has been very competitive this season and Duke is one of the top teams and they will get a chance to knock off Syracuse and they could be undefeated in that next matchup. The Blue Devils have a very deep roster and that will be very handy come March Madness.
