The 3-Point Contest is live online from TNT on Saturday night and the NBA All-Star game from New Orleans has the event streaming online and comes as the Dunk contest headlines the weekend competitions before the main east west matchup on Sunday and the competition has Kyrie Irving defending his title against Kevin Love, Damian Lillard, Arron Afflalo, Stephen Curry, Bradley Beal, Marco Belinelli and Joe Johnson.
Lillard is competing in all three events on Saturday night and this comes after he was in the rising stars game and he also is playing in the All-Star game on Sunday for a full slate. Lillard is one of the top young players in the league and he won the skills challenge last season and the rookie of the year award and he is playing in his first All-Star game and he is playing alongside his teammate LaMarcus Aldridge in the game and he will be also in the dunk contest with Paul George and John Wall, his fellow All-Stars and this is the first time in over two decades that three players from the game will be in the contest.
The dunk contest roster is deep and talented and it has George, wall and Lillard leading the way, while Terrence Ross from the Raptors and Harrison Barnes from the Warriors are in it alongside rookie Ben McLemore. Lillard will be one of the favorites and George has shown that he is one of the best dunkers in the league and while players like Blake Griffin and LeBron James will not be in the contest, there still should be plenty of fireworks.
The three point contest was won by Irving last season and he has shown that he is one of the best long range shooters in the league, while Kevin Love is the lone big man among the sharpshooters. Afflalo has been playing well this season and Curry is coming into his first All-Star game with some excitement and Lillard also will be in the skills competition.
