The Knicks have been one of the biggest disappointments in the NBA this season and now they have a chance to start things off on the right foot, as they play against Memphis before a back to back game on Wednesday. The team has been under immense pressure and scrutiny and that has been because of the whole Carmelo Anthony situation and now they have the chance to start playing to their potential in the second half. The team plays against the New Orleans Pelicans after the All-Star game was just there and two road games will be tough for the team coming out of the break.

The Knicks have been mostly terrible all season despite ranking in the top 12 in defense, but they are scoring just 97 points per game and their average on D is more than that and that is no way to put together a winning team. The Knicks have dealt with numerous injuries and other issues and now they have to start playing better just to get into playoff contention in the east, as they are currently out of the mix at 12 games under .500 with their record. The team is ranked 26th in rebounds per game and 24th in assists per game and they need to get all of those numbers back on track.
