The Miami Dolphins were looking at Chad Ochocinco earlier today and proceeded to sign him to a one-year contract.
Joe Philbin, the Dolphins' head coached, confirmed that the team had held a practice with the six-time Pro Bowler.
Runningback, Reggie Bush, has publicly stated that he would like having Ochocinco as his teammate and believes he can still perform at a high level.
"I think he has a lot left in the tank. If we can get him on our team, I think that would be great for us," Bush told the NFL Netwrok in an interview.
The Ochocinco was recently cut by the New England Patriots.
In 2011, he had only 15 receptions with 257 receiving yards with a single touchdown.
Many thought combining him with Tom Brady would have brought back the Ochocinco of old.
In his first trip to the Super Bowl, Ochocinco was less than factor only catching one pass for 21 yards.
Now with the Dolphins, Ochocinco can mentor the younger receivers in the team. They traded Brandon Marshall to the Bears and he was their most experienced receiver.
Ochocinco would serve better under the role of mentor since he is not the number one wide receiver he was earlier in his career.
